Welcome to the future of industrial packaging! We are pleased to present the positive results of the study we commissioned from the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT.

Background: The ecological dilemma of steel drums
The 200 litre steel drum is an indispensable standard in many industrial sectors and is often damaged and disposed of after just one use. This fact is proven by well recognized Biganzoli study: 37% of all steel drums are wasted after their first use.

The solution: Inliner instead of complicated processing methods
We have developed a solution that is not only economical, but also ecologically sound. The use of our inliner – customised liner for drums – beats conventional reconditioning methods by far.

Results at a glance: Up to 73 per cent less CO2 emissions
The study analyzes five common market scenarios: the use of new barrels, refurbishing and reconditioning, and the use of our inliners. The finding: By using inliners, CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 73 percent. A crucial step towards sustainable industrial practices.
Conclusion: A big step to sustainability
Roundliner is actively committed to sustainable industrial practices. Our collaboration with Fraunhofer UMSICHT shows that innovation and environmental protection can go hand in hand. You can find all the other results in the full study, which you are welcome to request from us.
